OpenPrayer
A quiet, private tracker for the five daily prayers and for fasting.
What is OpenPrayer?
Open it and today is already there: every prayer with its time, the window that is open now counting down, and one tap to mark a prayer prayed on time or late. Tap a prayer to read its intention in English, see the rak'ah count, and find the qibla on a live compass. Your history, streaks and badges are kept honestly — dated to the day you earned them, not the day you entered them.
Built for iPhone, in English, and free. No account, no ads, no analytics — everything stays on your device.
What it does
Prayer times
Calculated on your device (Moonsighting Committee method). Choose Standard or Hanafi Asr, override Fajr/Isha angles, or nudge any prayer a minute at a time.
Qibla compass
A live compass points you to the qibla, with a static dial fallback when the device can't sense direction.
Tracking & streaks
On time, late, or made up afterwards (qada). Excused days never break a streak; travel mode joins prayers with shortened intentions.
Fasting
Ramadan, Mondays and Thursdays, the White Days, Arafah and Ashura — each on the day it falls, with suhoor and iftar countdowns.
Badges
45 badges across seven categories, each dated to the day you earned it, plus a saveable Year in Review for the Islamic year.
Private by design
No account, no server. The only network request is city search, only when you tap Search. Works in aeroplane mode; export or delete anytime.
On your phone, not on a server
Everything you record — prayers, fasts, excused days, badges, settings and your chosen location — is stored only on your device.
- No account, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- Reminders are scheduled locally; no push-notification server is involved.
- Export everything as JSON or CSV, or delete any part of it, at any time.
